E-Mail Internet Marketing

Many companies have wondered about using e-mail as part of their marketing plans. The problem has always been that many people don't like to receive what they perceive to be spam. But is that true for ALL e-mail and could your company benefit from this form of marketing? Take a look at this newsletter. It's colorful - unlike typical plain text e-mail - and you know the company that sent it to you. Chances are you are at least glancing at it. Can a newsletter like this work for your company?

First, it's imperative that the news in the newsletter be of interest to your audience, not just a general announcement about your company. It should also be short and to the point. Most people are busy and only have time to glance at their e-mail You'll notice that his newsletter has only one graphic, our logo. You can have more graphics but remember that it will take longer for the recipient to receive your e-mail if you have a lot of graphics - particularly if the recipient is on a dial-up connection. Your newsletter can be a one-page newsletter or a multi-page newsletter like this one - it's up to you.

Second, you need a "clean" e-mail list. It's best to start with your existing customer base to insure that you have good e-mail addresses. All e-mail newsletter subscriptions require a way for the recipient to remove himself from your list. In the case of this newsletter, you'll notice that it works in reverse. It is stated that this is a one-time mailing and you will have to subscribe to continue to receive these newsletters. This is an excellent way to introduce your newsletter to your customers and see if there's any interest. If your list is large, you may need to speak to your ISP (Internet Service Provider), some will discontinue your e-mail service if you send bulk e-mails.

Third, you will need a nice looking newsletter. A professionally designed newsletter can grab the reader's eye and draw them into the topics. Web-Kare is happy to announce that we are now offering this newsletter service. We can design a newsletter for your company, maintain your e-mail list (if you prefer) and send these e-mails. We can do as little or as much as you want. If you have an interest in this type of service, please contact us.
