A Service Company
Web-Kare is an Internet marketing firm for small to mid-sized businesses looking for improved Internet presence with search engine positioning. Unlike other Internet marketing firms, the Web-kare team provides personal, one-on-one service. You're only a phone call away from speaking with a senior partner.

History
We are a limited liability partnership team of advertising professionals and graphic designers. Each senior staff member has over 20 years experience in desktop publishing, graphic arts, sales, marketing, and advertising.

We have over 7 years experience with Web design and have been optimizing sites for search engines since 1998. We now offer complete packages that include everything from design and hosting, to search engine management, Internet marketing, and e-mail marketing.

Our background is firmly planted in marketing which gives us a different perspective on a client's site. We don't just go for a lot of "bells and whistles" and "eye candy." We evaluate the complete marketing message of your site, the ease of navigation, and it's ability to be properly indexed.

Many of the sites we've designed rank in the top 20 of 10 or more of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Excite, AltaVista, AOL Search, Netscape, Overture.com, Lycos, HotBot, LookSmart, WebCrawler, TrueSearch, and WiseNut). To date, we've managed to improve the overall ranking of all of our client's sites.

We'd be happy to review your site for you and let you know how we can improve it's rankings. So, why not get in touch with us?

Our Code of Ethics
Web-Kare believes in giving our clients the best value for their money with top service. You are important to us and we live and die by our reputation.

Web-Kare will not engage in any practices that may get a client's site banished from any search engine. This includes such questionable practices as listed below. While some companies claim to get good results using these underhanded techniques, we feel the risk of being banned is too high to chance using them. Getting reinstated into a search engine, once banned, is a monumental task.

  • IP cloaking or cloaking of any kind.
This is a technique where a CGI script will feed a site visitor one page and an entirely different page to a search engine robot. Here is what Google says about this technique: "We will not comment on the individual reasons a page was removed and we do not offer an exhaustive list of practices that can cause removal. However, certain actions such as cloaking, writing text that can be seen by search engines but not by users, or setting up pages/links with the sole purpose of fooling search engines may result in permanent removal from our index." (You can view the complete text of this discussion at http://www.google.com/webmasters/2.html)
  • Invisible text.
This is a technique where text, the same color as the background color of the page, is inserted into the page. Generally, this text repeats keywords.
  • Small text.
Similar to invisible text, except these words are visible, but not readable.
  • Keyword stuffing.
This is where a keyword or keywords are repeated too often throughout the page.
  • Page redirection.
This is where you land on one page and get redirected to a different page. All of the search engines are suspicious of automatic page redirection because they cannot confirm that you are sending the visitor to a relevant site.
  • Doorway or Splash pages.
This is generally a single page with little or no content on it designed only to send a visitor to a different URL.
